If we were wondering what might happen to this nation if homosexual marriage became the law of the land, look at California blazing.

In my first post on this subject, I researched last year’s blaze that involved those Santa Ana winds and noticed it followed came on the heel sof the legislation that forced homosexual acceptance in public schools. That particular blaze was one of the worst in California’s history.

When I reviewed what happened then, and what happened in God’s Word, when a nation turns from God, I predicted multiple fires in California following this year’s California Supreme Court ruling that homosexual marriage be legalized in California, even though their law prohibited it.

Since that ruling, dry, hot weather made dry lightning strikes lethal, as they’ve hit the ground with a vengeance, starting almost 1,700 fires. To date 1,400 have been contained while 300+ burn out of control

As of yesterday, the fires have scorched 800 square miles in California. The brave firefighters battling these fires are exhausted. An AP story stated: “A slew of wildfires, most ignited by lightning two weeks ago, has burned more than 800 square miles of land throughout California. The blazes have destroyed at least 67 homes and other buildings and contributed to the death of a firefighter who suffered a heart attack while digging fire lines.” [1]

I am currently reviewing a time line of disasters and comparing them to major homosexual legislation or rulings in this country. I believe there maybe some interesting comparisons over the course of the last twenty years.

What makes homosexuality so abhorrent to God? After all, there are all sorts of sins spinning out of control, across this nation.

Here is what I believe. God made man and woman. He devised marriage. He said these two shall become one flesh, through marriage. He also said the two represent Christ and His church; Christ of course is the husband and the church represents His bride.

When we take this sacred union and remake it in our image, we are saying to the Lord, God we know better. We have forsaken your design and polluted the symbol or your Son and the church. This is what makes this sin so abhorrent to the Lord.

You say, wait a second, God hated this sin in the Old Testament. You are correct. However, remember, the Old Testament points to the New Testament. Just as the animal sacrifices pointed to the ultimate sacrifice, Jesus Christ, marriage points to the ultimate relationship - Christ and the New Testament church.

Yes, when we change marriage and create it in our own image, the image no longer represents Christ and His church, but the end time church, where man will worship man. The anti-Christ will be the world’s god and his church, will be those who have refused Christ. Thus, man worshiping man, symbolized by the unholy same-sex marriage is a union that blasphemes Almighty God’s symbolic representation of His church.

Is this an unusual move for Satan? No, it is not. God said the rainbow would represent His promise not to flood the world again. Satan co-opted the rainbow and has used it to represent the New Age, homosexuality and other unholy alliances.

Even the Trinity will be co-opted in the end by the anti-Christ. It will consist of the Dragon (Satan) or the anti-God, The Beast, the anti-Christ or king of this world, and the anti-Spirit or false-religious leader or prophet. They will represent an unholy alliance in the last days.

God calls us to repent and turn from our wicked ways. We need revival. We need God to heal our land. We need to call out to Him, seek His ways and take our sins before Him. If not, I fear the fires we see in California will soon become earthquakes in diverse places.

Note: Author is not making a claim that God caused these fires in response to homosexuality. Although, there seems to be a coincidental pattern. However, the Old Testament does share how God caused the land to go dry and the crops to fail when a land turned from His paths and carved out their own.

Pray for California. Pray God will open up the eyes of the people and that the fires will be put out. Pray to protect the firefighters who are fighting beyond their own strengths and abilities.

He reserves for us the appointed weeks of harvest. Your iniquiteies have turned these things away, and your sins have withheld good from you. Jeremiah 5:24c-25.

This morning I posted an article to follow up my original writing that said, following the ruling on homosexual marriage in California wildfires would break out all over the state. I wrote how 400 fires had since broken out. And now, it’s evening and we have learned the number of fires has doubled to 800 fires.

What’s going on? While no one can say for sure, I do believe there is a correlation between what the Supreme Court justices ruled regarding homosexual marriage and the raging fires in California. It would be easy to say it’s global warming. And then remind ourselves, all we have to do is screw in a few more mercury laden light bulbs and we could do away with all this strange weather. Of course, if you believe this, I have some swamp I’d like to sell you.

What makes us think we can control the heavens? What makes us think we can control the weather? Even if we were to make a dent in the heat, all God would have to do is order up a few more sunspots.

God said to the people of Judah, you departed from Me. You revolted against my righteousness and the laws I gave to you. You no longer fear Me. I gave you the rain you needed. I gave you good harvests. I did it all and then, you forgot Me. You turned from Me. And because you did, I will withhold the rains. Your crops will wither.

Rather than global warming causing this, God said, “Your iniquities have turned these things away, And your sins have withheld good from you.”

I know, you could say where’s the proof? Could I not say the same about you, who promote global warming everytime we suffer a heat spell, a cold spell, too much wind, too little wind, too much rain, too little rain and everything in between. Where is your proof? I have mine. At least it’s plausible, because the Lord has done this before. And we know the Lord does not change. And since He does not change, we can assume when we become Sodom-like, He will deal with us just as He dealt with them.

The point I am making is this, we cannot change marriage. Marriage is between a man and a woman. God created the institution of marriage. He says it symbolizes Christ and His church. He ordained it that man and woman shall leave their respective parents, marry and become one flesh. Yes, these are His desires and His will.

But we think we know better. We believe we can do what we want to do without consequences. We can stick our thumbs in God’s eyes and tell Him we have the right to do what we desire, even if it means to denounce His ideal for marriage.

How many fires will it take to return to the Lord? How many fires until people remember God, fear Him and call out His name? As a nation, I pray we return to Him soon.

In the last article I wrote how I felt the decision to legalize homosexual marriage in California would trigger massive forest fires throughout California.

As of this writing, 400 fires are burning in California. Lightning strikes cause most of them. However, no matter the cause, these fires continue to burn and many of them have no one trying to contain them.

“We do have significant numbers of fires that are completely unstaffed as of yet,” Shew said. “We don’t have sufficient resources to send to every one of them, so they’ll just have to pick them up as we can.”

California has cooked for four days under a severe heat wave that has drive temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37.8 degrees Celsius) across much of the state. [1]

The fact is, we cannot go against God’s Word and believe we will prosper. If it was such a good idea to have homosexual marriage, then why do those proposing it win with their ideas? And why do they do everything they can to stifle opposition, including the use of death threats.

They cannot win the debate, because most people know this is wrong. Homosexual marriage will destroy marriage and leave our children confused as to what is right and what is wrong.

There are those in Washington who would like to see the entire nation embrace homosexual marriage. If we do, then we will be very close to losing this nation. In Isaiah 3, God talks about nations in judgment. On a scale of 1 to 10, where one is farthest from God’s judgment and 10 closest to His judgment, open homosexuality is about an 8. Meaning, when this takes place in a nation, the nation is already near the end of God’s judgment scale and is about to fall.

Pray for our nation. Pray that God will intervene and turn our hearts toward Him. If not, I fear we are very close to the end.

• California Fights 400 Fires, Bakes in Heatwave

The arrogance of humanity is to think we control the weather. Somehow, we believe if we spend enough money and change the way we live, we will have perfect weather.

You have to scratch your head, when one of the coldest winters in Midwest history just happened and people blamed it on global warming. Then, cool air brings about the worst flooding in the Midwest’s history and the same people blame it on global warming.

Let me see if I understand this. If it’s hot, it’s global warming. If it’s cold, it’s global warming. If there are tornadoes, it’s global warming. If there are floods, it’s global warming. If my grandchild does not like spinach, it has to be global warming.

Have you ever asked yourself if global warming is the blame for all these events, then why is the history of our nation riddled with catastrophic events?

And where is the science to prove their claims that global warming caused the twisters, when we know science tells us it was the cooler air from Canada that caused them. Of course, the cooler air must be a result of global warming.

I believe if you ask people in the Midwest about global warming, they might tell you they would settle for a little heat right now.

So, what is going on? Well, if the global warming evangelicals can claim their theories, then so can I. Here is what I believe, we are seeing dramatic changes in weather and events, because we are running, not walking to Sodom. In other words, America’s sins have finally wearied God and we are suffering from His weariness.

Case in point, one of the largest fires in California took place last year, right after their government agreed to force schools to teach only positive things about homosexuality. This bill basically forced students to accept homosexuality as normal and equal to heterosexuality. It also recognized five genders instead of two.

Here was the result: Soon after the legislation, Californians have found themselves fighting one of the worst forest fires they have ever faced. Today, as I write this several wildfires have broken out. One is so huge a firefighter described it as looking like “a million blow torches.” [1]

Recently, California ruled against the will of the people and forced homosexual marriage on their state. Right after the ruling, I said to myself, California will suffer many wildfires. You see, God is a God of purpose. He is also a God who does not change. He has always used disasters as a warning to His people to wake up or to repent and turn back to Him.

One of the major reasons God destroyed Israel had to do with justice. He saw no justice in the nation for the righteous. In other words, the courts were corrupt. Evil became protected while goodness and righteousness went unprotected under the law. It’s no different today. The law in California made it clear marriage was to be between a man and a woman. This was the law. The corrupt California Supreme Court struck it down and implemented homosexual marriage. Of course, courts are not to do this. But in a land where our court system has become the lefts’ tool for societal change, they have usurped representative government and made their own laws.

My guess is California will continue to burn. The global warming group will cry “global warming” to force us to give up everything this country stands for in order to usher in a brave new government where our freedoms become greatly restricted, all in the name of “global warming.”

Well, let them tout their theories. Let them believe they control the heavens. We, who love the Lord, know differently. We know the One who controls the heavens above and the earth below. Let them spend trillions to reduce global warming and watch God add one more sunspot and laugh at our futile efforts to control the winds.

So, I have this one question, “When will we know we are no longer facing global warming?” Obviously cooler temperatures do not impress them. And by the way, warmer temperatures in Canada would have prevented this disaster. But the global warming crowd never concerns themselves with facts. So what would impress them, since one of the coldest, most brutal winters in the Midwest’s history did not.

On California’s Same Sex Marriage

Okay, I have held off commenting on the recent California Supreme Court decision legalizing homosexual marriage for a number of reasons, the most important of which is the fact that I wanted to be thoroughly informed on the matter…

While it will take years to get enough oil or to produce enough energy alternatives to offset prices, there is one answer to the problem that could begin reducing prices drastically. It’s a word I hate, but in this case, it may be useful.

Here is my idea - taxation. Take some of the profit out of commodities. That’s right, my prescription for US and G-8 is as follows: Lower the taxes on stocks long-term capital gains and raise the taxes on commodities. Until the G-8 buys into the idea, the US government could adopt this plan, but would have to close loopholes, by which citizens can purchase commodity contracts, bypassing US brokers.

This plan would cause the speculators to flee commodities for the stock market. The prices would dive and the arrogance the oil industry displays when talking about prices would soon go away.

This is an easy plan. It would remain in place until the G-8 countries could find alternatives to oil.

The other day I heard a political candidate mention that for him Romans the first chapter is an obscure passage and the Sermon on the Mount shows him that some form of same-sex marriage is fine with Jesus.

On hearing this, I wrote a good friend of mine, who knows the Word and asked him to find the passage in the Sermon on the Mount that points to this interpretation.

The same morning a friend of mine mentioned that “separation of church and state” was in our Constitution. I printed a copy of our Bill of Rights and showed it to her. To her surprise those words were not there.

Here is my point, those who are wolves in sheep’s clothing will lead an uninformed populous down a ruinous road. They are able to do this because those who know better remain silent.

When those with an immoral agenda speak the lies and we do not challenge them with truth, the lie, over time, becomes the truth and the truth becomes the lie.

My friend just knew the Constitution had the words “separation of church and state” in it. In everyway, she is an intelligent person. She is one of those who heard the lie enough and believed it. I do not fault her. This is what happens when, we the church, will not take stands against these untruths.

So back to this politician and his misinterpretation of the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Mat 6:8,10 NIV).

Jesus warned us saying, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Not everyone who says ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my father in heaven” (Matthew 7:15, 16, 21).

And as far as Romans being obscure, here is what it says: “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way, the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion” (Rom. 1:26-27 NIV).

This supposed obscure chapter says when people no longer remain thankful toward God, they begin to worship creation rather than the Creator. In essence they lose sight of the true God and turn to worshipping false creature type idols. Creation becomes more important than the Creator. Thus, they no longer serve the true God nor are they thankful toward Him.

What follows, according to Romans? Homosexuality follows, where men burn after men and women after women. God calls this perversion. What does perversion mean? It is something we do that contradicts or opposes what is right or good. This is what homosexuality does. It perverts sex. It takes what God created for man to enjoy, within the marriage bond, with a woman, and perverts it.

What happens to those who commit these contradictory acts? God’s Word says, “…since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.”

Now, you might say, “Wait just a second, what about those who say they know Jesus.” I would answer this way. I do not know whether Jesus is their Savior or not. This, I cannot say. However, they have the Word. They can read the same passages I read. They can read the Old Testament Law, where man is not to have sex with a man as he does with a woman. God calls this act detestable (Lev. 18:22). They can read the New Testament where it says homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God, (1 Cor. 6:9)

If homosexuality were equal to heterosexuality, then God would have said so. He did not. His Word is just the opposite. No matter how some try to call the first chapter in Romans “obscure,” it is not obscure to those who have the Spirit of God in them. It is only obscure to those who are blind to the truth.

The Apostle John writes, “No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother” (1 Jo 3:9-20 NIV). In other words God’s Word says, as Christians, we cannot continue in sin. We no longer have a sin nature driving us to sin. Instead, we have a new nature driving us to Jesus. In addition, we have the Holy Spirit living within us. Thus, when we sin we feel shameful and guilty before the Lord. If we do not feel this way and continue in sin, without remorse, then we do not have the Spirit within us, according to John.

Yes, we all sin. But when we do, we seek our Lord’s forgiveness. In addition, we do what we can to stop the behavior. And when we cannot, we give up and give it to the Lord and ask Him to put this desire to death. In other words, we hate our sins. Moreover, we would not think about glorifying them or allowing them to define us. Also we would not try to silence those who disagree with our sinful lifestyles.

No, we do just the opposite. We seek a way out from under our sins. We hate them. We do not justify them or try to get our government to overturn our entire society to make it easier for us to sin. Instead, we want free from our sins, so we may serve our Lord in Spirit and truth.

So, when people such as politicians, false teachers or others try to tell us their belief that God approves certain sins, we must not stay silent. As for them, I would rather they remained silent. Their testimonies are damaging to our faith. Their words bring shame to our Lord and crucify Him all over again. They do this with their false testimonies and lies. Their words shame bring shame on us and our Lord.

WHAT ABOUT JUDGING OTHERS

Oh, I may not be able to judge hearts or intentions. I may not be able to tell others they are or are not saved. But the Word is very clear when it says we can judge people by their fruits. We can judge when they tell us what the Word supposedly says, even though it does not address the issue. We can judge actions. We can judge what they do. If it is sin, we have the right to call it sin.

In essence, we are not to become blinded to the truth. We are not to remain silent toward those who would pervert the Gospel. If a homosexual wants to live the lifestyle, so be it. If a politician wants to believe the gay lifestyle is all right, it is fine with me. Their thoughts and activities are of the world. In other words, they are doing the world’s bidding. They probably do not know any better. However, when they use the Word to sell their perversions and use it to mislead the faithful, then we must speak up. Jeremiah did, Isaiah did, Ezekiel did, the Late D. James Kennedy did, Dr. James Dobson does and so do others.

We should not to allow wolves in sheep’s clothing to lead us astray. We are to point out the lies and speak the truth. For if we become blind to the truth, we will soon become open to every wind of doctrine. When this happens, we will believe some politician who says Romans is obscure and the Sermon on the Mount permits homosexual marriages.

Hate crimes used to be those crimes committed out of hate. Such as, someone murdered someone because they did not like their color or ethnicity.

Well, welcome to the the 21st Century. Hate crimes are now anything the offended call hate. In essence these laws now silence debate and give certain protected groups political and judicial power over another group.

The coming hate crimes legislation to protect sexual orientation will do just that. It is designed to change our thinking about perversion. It will control how we think about lifestyles and sin. Thus, anytime we quote something form God’s Word that offends us morally, we will be challenged by those who are doing everything they can to silence the church and silence debate on moral questions of our day.

If you think this will not happen, a Priest is coming under attack from Canadian officials for quoting the Bible regarding same-sex marriage on his website. A homosexual activist saw it and felt offended. Called it a hate crime and filed a complaint. What was the priest’s crime? His crime was quoting the Bible regarding marriage. And that marriage is to be between a man and a woman. These are the tenets of his Catholic faith and our faith as believers.

This quote says it all, regarding this case: “In other words, individual Jews, Muslims, Catholics and other Christians who, for reasons of conscience, hold to their faith’s traditional teaching concerning marriage, could very well be guilty of promoting hate in Canada. The same is true of any faith community in Canada that does not embrace this modern redefinition of one of the world’s oldest institutions – a redefinition that even the highly secularist France rejects,” Vere wrote. [1]

In America, if these laws come to pass, and they will, our churches will be invaded by those who will look to silence the church. Activist groups will have people listening, ready to file hate crime complaints. Pastors will either capitulate or their churches will go underground, where no one is allowed to visit, but those who are members of the church. In addition, traditional churches may be forced to marry homosexuals, even if it is against their conscience or face fines or loss of their tax-exemption status.

Thus, the hate crimes law that protects homosexuality will negate the First Amendment that says Congress shall pass no laws to inhibit the free exercise of religion. Welcome to the brave new world.

It is my contention, based on writings by homosexuals, their efforts are to silence the church and replace traditional marriage with homosexual marriage and, in the end, free everyone from the bondage of marriage. Read “Gay Manfesto.”

In California, schools must now teach only positive ideas about homosexuality. This means, indoctrination of our children. Does anyone care that this teaching offends Christians? Why not give us hate crime protection against this teaching? It offends parents of faith. It offends us that our children must listen to this.

One reason we see states come against homeschooling is the homosexual issue. Students taught in homes are immune to this “new thought” teaching. Thus, California has outlawed schools and Tennessee has made it illegal for the the state to hire any home schooled individual. Discrimination anyone?

The bottom line, the US government will soon have in place laws that will tell our conscience we can no longer debate an issue or stand against an issue we know is wrong. Homosexuality and the environmentalists are working over time to make this nation one of the most hedonistic in the world. They are working hard to remove our freedom to travel, to debate, to speak out, to believe the way we believe and to follow our own consciences. Welcome to the brave new world. Welcome to Marxism with a new twist.

Yes, the new government taking place in January ‘09 promises change. By the time they tax us to death, pass laws to prohibit debate and free speech, remove our conscience and our ability to make money through idiotic environmental laws, we will become the next Marxist state.

Freedom of religion was the very first right given to us. This means, it was the most important right given to us by our Founders. One law, passed by Congress, will do away with this right. Sorry, I choose not to give up my conscience. I do not hate gays and lesbians. However I dislike their effort to encroach on my conscience, my faith and my God. I dislike their encroachment on my family, my grandchildren and our thought-life. If you want to see where hate resides, look at the hate-crime law. It will reside within those who crafted this law.

If their lifestyle is good, then win the debate. However, they cannot win the debate. So, they pass laws to stop it. Welcome to the brave new world. Welcome to the beginning of the “thought police” state. Goodbye America. We knew you well.

I have to wonder how many people get offended each year? It seems everyone feels offended. And every group has the right to feel that way except one. Can you guess? Of course, the Christian. No one ever cares whether they offend us or not. Why? Because the world no longer sees goodness and righteousness. They only see their needs and desires and they lead us down the path of immorality and destruction.

So I decided to list a few things that offend Christians, just so the world might know. Of course, we rarely complain, because we know those who do this are only doing what their father would have them do. And their father certainly does not reside in heaven.

Thus, here is my list of those things that offend Christians, as if anyone cared:

• Using the Lord’s name in vain (cursing)
• Using God’s name in vain (cursing)
• Using the “f” word
• Using the “s” word
• Using any cuss word
• Portraying Christians on television and in movies as rapists, serial killers, the mentally deranged and other unflattering portrayals
• Making jokes when portraying prayer in a movie or television scene
• Making us have to accept homosexual marriage
• Forcing our children and grandchildren to listen to those who push this stuff on them
• Giving protection to deviants who cross dress and call them normal
• Giving special civil protection to deviants and compare them to the plight of African-Americans
• Forcing us to share bathrooms with the opposite sex, so the few that feel offended can offend many
• Forcing us to share bathrooms with deviants, putting our wives, daughters and small children at risk
• Filling movies up with sex and curse words so we cannot view otherwise interesting movies
• Telling us we cannot pray
• Telling us we cannot say Jesus in school
• Telling us we cannot write about Jesus
• Telling us we cannot believe in Creationism
• Telling our young adult children they don’t have to listen to their parents. Their parents ways are foolishness
• Telling us we have to recognize all religions lead to heaven or worship the same God…when we know better

Here are some of my future offenses

• Coming soon - condoms in every classroom
• Homosexual training in grade school
• Telling our children the use of mother and father are incorrect - must say parents or loved ones or guardians
• Portraying heterosexuality as bigoted and divisive, even homophobic
• Promoting homosexual marriage as equal to heterosexual marriage
• Your insistence that the Bible does not speak against homosexuality
• Your leaders who tell us the Sermon on the Mount makes them believe God would approve homosexual marriage
• Lies, lies and more lies to force Americans to capitulate to this non-sense
• Punitive damages, fines and jail time for those who stand up for righteousness and goodness
• Tossing pastors in jail for speaking out against homosexuality
• Outlawing or restricting certain passages as offensive to homosexuals
• Forcing our churches underground
• Forcing pedophilia on us
• Forcing bestiality on us
• Forcing incest on us (already happening in U.K.)
• Threatening tax exemptions of those churches that do not cater to homosexuals and will not marry them
• The jailing of grandmas, because they stand for righteousness
• The denial of health care and other services to Christians, unless they repent of their bigotry
• Forcing Christians to stop sharing their faith with their children
• Forcing Christians to stop sharing their faith with others
• Silencing Christians in the political realm
• Removing God from the pledge
• Taking our motto off all coins
• Changing our National Anthem
• Removing Christian radio
• Removing Talk radio (Just through that one in)
• Parading homosexuality in our military

Not all these have happened, but you can bet a all or most of them will, as we march toward Sodom.

In Isaiah 3, God talks of a nation about to come under His judgment. One of the last evidences of His judgment is open homosexuality. When a nation reaches that level, it does not have long on this earth and history proves it.

This sin is not any worse than adultery or incest, rape etc. However these people are not soliciting our children and turning morality upside down, in this country, to please a few.

Whatever happened to Congress shall pass no laws to prohibit the free exercise of religion?

It is going the same way as gender specific bathrooms. Now we have to accept five different genders, when God says two. By the way, that really offends me. But who is listening.

In a previous article, I wrote about the coming carbon tax and how this tax will control every aspect of our lives. It will control what we purchase, how much we purchase and how big our purchases will be. And if we exceed our carbon allowances, there will be a huge penalty to pay at the end of the year I call the carbon tax.

Well, I discovered how the government could monitor all this spending to keep track of the penalties we would face if we exceed our carbon usage. It’s called the carbon card. That’s right. England has contemplated such a card. This card would be used to purchase gasoline, electricity, air flights and probably a host of other purchases. In other words, the government would soon know everything about you from purchasing habits to where you went on your vacation.

Well, this is a huge intrusion of privacy. In addition, the Ministers in Parliament talked about setting up carbon trading, where people could buy and sell unused carbon credits.

What a bad idea. The carbon credits will be so high, only the rich will be able to buy them. The rest of the population would go without. This idea has nothing to do with ending global warming. Instead, it has everything to do with destroying freedom and keeping others from moving up the pay scale or bettering themselves. Criminals would steal these cards or create fake cards to abuse the system. What a mess this idea would bring upon Britain.

Patrick Michaels of the Cato Institute writes, “Britain’s parliamentary proposal to require all adults to carry a ‘carbon ration card’ would result in the absolute destruction of personal privacy with no detectable impact on global climate. The proposed card would track virtually all personal movements and purchases (including food), reporting them to the government. The cost of the loss of privacy is outweighed by absolutely no climatic benefit. The United Kingdom is a minor emitter of carbon dioxide, accounting for a tiny fraction compared to the emissions of China, now the world’s largest source of carbon dioxide, where there is certainly no attempt to reduce personal use of energy.” [1}

If you think the US would not consider this, read the following from a 2005 article: "A key environmental strategy committee set up between the US government and the European Commission has put carbon cards on the agenda for their next meeting. Under the proposed scheme, 40 per cent of the EU’s annual carbon emission quota would go to individual citizens, with individual carbon cards issued to each adult...[2]

We must remember, this is not about controlling our environment. It is about legally controlling people’s lives. In the liberal world, they want to make sure everyone is equal. They do not like winners and losers. Well, I’ll take that back. They don’t like the middle class to have upward mobility. The elite are just that, elite. They want to be the only ones to fly, to ride in boats, to travel and see the world. They want to own the fine cars, and dine in the finest restaurants, while the middle class gets lumped in with the poor. All would equally suffer, except the eilte. Do I hear Communism?

While the world tries to move everyone to the lowest common denominator, Christianity is the opposite. We move people up the morality scale, rather than lower standards. We see character, courage, responsibility and the ability to be your best as high ideals to achieve. The world would rather lower everyone’s expectations so the poor would not feel so poor.

Fortunately, for now, the Parliament in Britain has scrapped the idea. Their people are not quite ready for it yet and the technology is not in place:”But officials from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) said a feasibility study found that carbon rationing was ‘an idea ahead of its time in terms of its public acceptability and the technology to bring down costs’ While there were “no insurmountable technical obstacles”, the study found such a scheme would cost £1-2bn each year and would be perceived as unfair. Defra said it was abandoning plans for a pilot scheme to test the idea, because it would be ‘unrepresentative” and “could lead to failure and subsequent public distrust and ridicule.’” [3]

So what does this mean? I believe it means, at some point, they will try again. As we know socialists and liberals never give up on an idea. They just have to educate the younger generations to accept them. And in time they bring them back again.
